Signature Nkatie (Peanut) Chicken Sauce
with Purple Cabbage and Carro-rice
At Homecho, we always look to bring innovation to your kitchen and make your home menu more exciting. The Homecho carro-rice is a fine blend of rice and grated carrot cooked together. The big surprise however is our Nkatie chicken sauce, which defies but elevates the Ghanaian traditional groundnut soup. This sauce packs loads of character with traditional appeal of groundnut paste and colors of purple cabbage and spinach. This signature sauce is easy to make and brings a new dimension to how we use our groundnut paste.

Juicy Pork Chops and Okra/Okro Stir-fry
with Ga Kenkey and Shito
Okra/okro is common to the people of Volta Region, and is the main ingredient in the well-known and widely-enjoyed traditional Akple and Fetri staple. Our recipe adds an adventurous touch by combining okra/okro with carrots and onions in a hearty stir-fry that seamlessly compliments juicy seared pork chops and Ga kenkey. Respectfully, shito is allowed in the mix.

Suya-glazed Chicken and Saffron Couscous
with Mango Salad
This recipe is Africa-at-large! Suya and mango from the West, and saffron and couscous from the North and East. The chicken is drenched in a honey-glazed suya spice to give it a sweet and spicy flavor, which is a perfect addition to saffron couscous. The signature mango salad is a reminder that the best indeed comes from the West. We recommend that you enjoy this easy and low-caloric weeknight dinner with a glass of chilled watermelon juice. Akwaaba to Africa-at-large.

Mixed Meat Purple Cabbage Thai Fried Rice (Juicy)
with Peanuts and Lime
Something for all you meat lovers. Fried rice is definitely one of our favorite staple recipes in Ghana but this time we are doing it the Thai way. Beef, pork and chicken breasts in bite sizes combined with the choicest veggies in a stir fry sizzling with colour and flavor. Every scoop brings a new taste and feel. Finish with roughly chopped peanuts and spring onions, and fresh cayenne to give it that Thai touch and hot peppery taste. Hot, colorful and a sweet scent, just how we like it!

Za'atar Chicken
with Moroccan-style Saffron Rice
Za'atar is a mixture of herbs of Middle-Eastern origin and other spices, and is very common in Israeli cooking. Our Za'atar blend is a mixture of sumac, thyme, roasted sesame seeds, marjoram, oregano and sea salt, which adds overwhelming health benefits and an energy boost to our recipe. When rubbed on chicken and combined with Saffron Rice, it results in powerful flavours which elevates the meal to a different world of culinary. The rich golden colour and incredible flavours of the world’s most expensive spice, Saffron, makes this easy Mediterranean weeknight dinner a must-have.
Red Curry Black-Eyed Peas (Beans) and Fried Ripe Plantain
with Parsley Rice and Hard-boiled Egg
Locally, black-eyed peas and fried ripe plantain is revered as the tasty Red-Red, incomplete without cassava flakes (gari), and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This lack of boundary can only be said of few delicacies in Ghana, so that's respect right there. Our recipe adds more respect to Red-Red by stewing the beans with a red curry spice blend in palm oil, and adding fresh tomatoes and onions. We also introduce parsley rice and hard-boiled egg as sides. Together, this classic dinner is our all-time favourite.
